How to tell refurb 172 cup alloys from trophy ones ?

  Albi Blue Clio 197
Just wondering ?

the writing on the rim of the alloys has to be white for a start ? am i right in assuming that ?

well assume i had never seen a 172 cup alloy before and only had a trophy alloy in front of me, what am i looking for

  Vectra :(
Do a search on here for the offsets mate

Think a cup offset is 37 and the trophy is 40 something but thats off the top of my head and could be wrong

EDIT : If iirc Cup is ET 37.5 and trophy is ET 45

Should be stamped on the rear of the wheel somewhere

^ yeah hes got them.

cup is 37.5 and the trophy 45. if you look at the back of the alloy it'll be stamped on one of the spokes.

most people who have their cup ones refurbed never have the decals put back on either...

It's stamped onto the internal rim - the last 2 digits tell you the offset....

Also there won't be any Speedline Corse painted logo on a refurbed set. These logos can show signs of wear on used wheels that are otherwise perfect because the logo sits on top of the lacquer layer.
