After reading threw the WIlliams vs 172 posts etc and having to try and decide myself between the two... well The williams won

Me and wigle went down to have a look at a 172 this afternoon, well this one it had rough paint, No water in the header tank at all, few dents scuffed wheels and an interior which was pretty well worn. 2000 W plate and he wanted £2800 for it.

We said no as the only good thing going was an ally bonnet.

Then back home for a quick brew, Bacon sausage and egg and onwards to look at a clio williams 61k no rot, some slight dents here and there brand new exhaust *blue Flame* new steering rack, bottom ball joints, Tca's and some other stuff £1800 quid later and i pick it up tomorrow.

Ouhhh it felt tight and put the power down and kept on pulling like a train big smiles.

So it looks like clio sport will have a williams to add to its books lol

i work at a bodyshop and paint cars all day, so its being repainted when i can be bothered, and the dents removed by paintless dent removal i'll do any annoying bigger ones he cannot remove.

I'll try and get some pics as soon as i can

its williams 2, i know its not a hardcore williams but.... it came up and goes really well and back to basics they are identical minus the exclusive numbers. * some purists argue they are not williams blah blah apparently, Im yet to meet one lol"

I prefered this to an original williams as it looks a little more updated, still has no sunroof and goes like a good un. i just hope it manages to keep up with the 172 boys

No, im not 100% sure where that has come from to be honest mate. The bloke bought it for rallyX so i doubt he would of noticed or even fitted it himself as he needs my help with his 306gti6. He seems a really sound bloke and we are going to be helping him out, so he has no real reason to bull. He told me what he gave for the car straight out and what hes spent on it.

Again there is no crash damage evident that stood out, so im not 100% sure why its there.
