I have just purchased....

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Just bought some AG:

ERG
SRP
Paint Restorer
Gloss shine (for deeper colours)
AG body wash and conditionor

How do I use this best?

Is there anything else I really need to be buy?

Thanks

Sam

SRP, EGP and the Ultra Deep Shine will not all work togther.

You can either do SRP and EGP

or

SRP and UDS.

The EGP will not bond over the UDS, and UDS after the EGP will remove the EGP.

Use the Paint Renovator with care it can be fairly harsh and induce smaller finer marks while removing larger ones.

Wash
Paint Renovator as needed.
SRP
EGP x 2 would be my route

You could always invest in a nice Carnuba wax.

If you were me would you swap UDS for some wax?

I don't have any at the moment but I am thinking I should invest... If so what sort? It would need to be from Halfords though as that's where I bought the above from.

This is only a one off detail as I am selling the car this week and just want it to look good for then.

Will wax help with this?

Thanks

The only wax you could swap it with is the Megs Stage 3 stuff in Halfords. May add a little in looks over the EGP, but may not.

AG SRP and 2 coats of EGP will look good as it is.

Right ok so you reckon I would perhaps be best to go for:

  1. quick wash down with hose pipe (Very dirty indeed)
  2. Wash with Megs gold class or AG Bodywash and conditioner (which one?)
  3. Dry down
  4. SRP
  5. ERP x 2
Is that it? Have I missed any steps?

Thanks

That's the one. Shampoos - whichever one your prefer.

You may need to use the Paint Renovator before the SRP depending on the paint condition.

The paint condition is bad to awful.

Despite a wash and SRP 10 days ago (didn't have any protection) there are still many swirls. It seems as if a far few panels have been resprayed as well and filler has been used. Should I be careful with the use of paint restorer as it may damage it further? or should I use more as the paint is in poor condition.

Thanks

Sam
