I just purchased a 172 last night...

Hi there all, Here's a little introduction to myself.

After much deliberation I purchased a car to commute with daily, my requirements were that it had to be an estate, diesel & safe.

After test driving some cars with the above specification I decided I didn't like them so went for a compact Petrol hatchback that was more fun than function, namely the 172 I collected last night.

At least I got the safety bit right! - 4 star Euro ncap rating.

The car is a 72k Wreg in silver & I absolutely loved the drive home in it.

My "other" car is a litre track ready Nova & the wife's car is a Focus ST170, I've only done 150miles in the Clio but love it already. It's faster than the focus & handles better & is more comfortable than the Nova for sure... It even seemed economical, which was a nice surprise.

I just thought i'd register here to find out some more info on it...

Welcome mate, good choice.

The 172's aren't the greatest high-mile commuter cars, but they're pretty good for average miles and will often return over 30mpg.
