I tunes adding two songs when importing

When i import a downloaded album into itunes it ALWAYS makes two copies (Ie two of each track)

WHY?

where are you downloading the album from?
could be because its automatically converting them to aac

If you import the whole folder / directory it'll probably include the .m3u playlist file, which iTunes will read and import the songs. So either import just the tracks or just the playlist.

It's not itunes ftl ha, it's the user. When your dragging the folder with the album in, your copying the playlist file so it's going to make 2 copies in itunes.

Either select the songs you want to drag, or just drag the playlist file. It's usually track 00.
