I want to fit wheel spacers (182)........

  182
Hi all I dont really no to much about fitting these really so need some advice, My 182 (non cup) is running on Eibach pro's.

What in your opinion would be a good size wheels spacer(s) to use?

Do you fit the same size front and rear or would you have the front wider than the rear or vice versa?

Is it worth fitting any at all, how much of an improvement will they make??

Advice appreciated

Rob.

Ok, my first reaction is why? but I see where youre comin from, so er lets see 10mm all round? Ok, but will you see any difference / benefit? Dunno. Be the first to find out!

Screw not getting any benfit, anyone who says that is a lier.

No point in doing the rears imo, but i just stuck 10/15mm spacers on the front of my RSi, to make it more towards williams track, and boiy what a difference, turn in is imediatly better, can carry more speed round corners, stearing is lighter and more resonsive at higher speeds.

if in ANY doubt abot the advanatges of this speak to BenR and he'll give you all the techie speak about it

i'd go for 5mm only on the front

Explain........please Fred, the feeling i'm getting from Ben is that any change is good untill you go to far, and then you'll know about it

Finally, someone has actually felt the rewards!!!

I've been banging on about increased scrub raius/castor offset for ages.

Increase repsonse/steering feel/torque moment......just dont go too far or you'll start to end up with kart steering geometry and silly ackerman.

People always whinge about bearings aswell lol.

nice one!

I paid £50 2nd hand for hub centric spacers and longer bolts

I know the cupped 182 has a wider track than the non cupped version not sure how much by though??
Are you saying that I should only go 5mm and only go on the front? that doesnt seem alot really. The last thing I want to do Is upset the handling I just want to sweeten it up a little more so I need to get it right.....
So technical people what should I be looking to do?

Cheers again
Rob.
