icon after oil change

i just changed my oil filter + oil

i added 3liters

now when i turn ignition on it says

OIL


does this mean oil level is too high or too low?

the oil light its self is not on?

help pleasee

also this flashes untill i click the button to switch to view my miles etc,

they is no stop light on or no oil light, just every time i turn ignition on it flashes?

if you only added 3litres it is not enough, 5.1 litres is needed

Add a bit more oil fella and it will be fine. Hope you haven't driven it far since.

i wouldn't use engine flush just get it warm and then drain it. don't know if its true as i have never used it but heard you never get all the engine flush and old oil out?? so when you refill with nice new oil it thins it :S

could be wrong though lol

I heard that flushing it wasn't recommended? I just ran the engine for 5 minutes before draining it at the sump, then re-filled with 5-odd litres.
