Identify this cage?

I bought this as an OMP however all of the OMP cages and most others for that matter have rear feet that sit on the arches. The rear feet of this sit on the boot floor in between the arches.

It should have door bars but the lugs were removed and one of the door bars fitted as a harness bar.

I'm trying to identify it so I can check it's construction and work out feet thicknesses etc. Plus I'm curious!

Any thoughts?

The rear is much tidier than the front as only the rear was fitted before. The front half is sleeved in front of the b pillars.

That is the latest model OMP cage same as I have in my racing car.

The only mod is the harness bar.

The rear feet go to the suspension pick ups on the floor. There is more strength there than the arches.

Any pictures of yours fitted Mark?

Superb glad to hear it Ben :)

It is DannyR's old cage, the door bars have been removed and one has been used by the looks of it for a harness bar. You can buy the door bars individually

That's the one Rhys. I'll have a snoop around for door bars.

On a side note, the sanwich plate on the cooler isn't thermostatic is it?

I've added a harness bar and an extra door bar to make a cross.

Perfect Mark. Thanks.

So looking at yours, did you notch the sill to get the hoop bolts in then plates under the front and rear feet on the inside?

Got my welder coming over tomorrow to discuss spec.

I must say, yours looks excellent.

I didn't notch the sills, but you can do that and others have.

When you get it new the centre cross is only tacked in so you can adjust it. I adjusted the cross so I didn't need to notch the sills.

Plates inside front and rear yes. The rears are a real pain to get the bolts in as they basically come out where the spring sits underneath. I have ASTs so this was not a problem for me. I think there is just enough room to get the bolts in with the spring though.

You could just weld it in to make life easier.

Mine's all welded up so I'll need some notching.

Did you use 3 or 4mm plates for the feet?

I'm running Spax RSX so the springs shouldn't be an issue.
