I completely missed this thread and thought it was another that I've been watching... to say I got JEALOUS when I saw that Christmas was not ever coming to my house and Santa clearly had deep pockets for you, is an understatement!
The welding alone is a skill you've just proved you're quality at! Great work so far and I'm watching this with a lot of interest
Class build mate - can't wait to see the future of this.
bin the pas idler and bracket and just run a shorter belt.
So jealous, wish I had the skills and balls to do this [emoji2]
Thanks mate [emoji4]
I would say it’s the balls rather than skills. Helps if it’s not your daily and the car itself only cost you about a fiver lol

I’m new to the scene (2 weeks in) but looking forward to getting mine on the track. Currently have a focus st for a daily so can’t get a tow bar on it so as soon as I swap that out early next year I’ll be getting a boring Focus with a towbar. Then it’s full steam ahead on the track car. Will be looking for this thread. To give me all the info I need
Will a Focus pull a car and trailer? My Mondeo ST TDCI would struggle with a my Clio and decent trailer if uktow.com is correct, recommended tow weight for mine is only 1255kg at 85% of the cars kerbweight (recommended).I’m new to the scene (2 weeks in) but looking forward to getting mine on the track. Did you drill holes through the hinge and do you have the bolt heads on the hinge side? I didn't think there would be room
Hi mate. Yes drilled holes and used counter sunk bolts. M8 I think.
I thought this may have been the approach and I guess probably gives a better approach to adjustability, cheers
Hiya mate,
What was your reasoning for running the fuel lines inside the car?... and did you make the lines up yourself or buy the kit from somewhere?
Sorry mate for a late reply.
Why inside the car? #becauseracecar [emoji14]
Contact Mitch from pro-line motorsport. He will hook you up with lines etc. But to be fair there is always more than one way to skin a cat [emoji6]
