In car dvd player bypass

Hiya Folks,

Not sure if this is allowed here but hey.

Just bought a JVC KD-AVX2 head unit and wired it up and you must have it attatched to the parking brake etc

Ive connected this to the ground wire (brown) at the back of the head unit and it works fine whilst in motion but when I turn the headlights on its goes off and asks me to connect to the parking brake.

Any ideas? I need to entertain my passengers!

pm dennis v6 he had to bypass it in his vee and it is on all the time well when the ignition is on??

use a separate earth easiest solution or find the real earth as it sounds like your using the illumination wire not the earth as when you turn your lights on power is coming through that lead stopping the screen earthing,when there off its acting as an earth

Earth should be the black cable.
