Induction kit and exhaust system for maximum power gains?

Hi, new to the clio scene, been on the saxo one for a while but with the arrival of my 172 CUP i need your help.

Had a quick search but couldnt see a lot of relevant material. So...


For my 172 cup, i need...

• an induction kit, sealed obviously (up to £300)
• exhaust system, (£££ ???? what can i get for my money?? £500 poss?) Manifold? Decat/sports cat, nice backbox etc...

Not bothered about noise levels, im just after more POWER!!! :clown:

air fillter - itg maxogen they aint cheap but many including me say they are worth it

Exhaust- most will prob say keep standard but up to you,

decat- defo

and while your there get a remap done once everything is fitted

182 manifold is supose to be one of the best things for 172's. not sure where it leaves you with your exhaust though

Surely an aftermarket exhaust system would be crucial in getting the most power out of the engine? :S It was on my old VTS anyway. Is the standard cup exhaust good?

Airfilter - Simota areofoam enclosed carbon.

Exhaust - Give A.A.S exhausts a call and see what he can do for you, or pm Barron and see how much he paid for his decat and exhaust for his 172 from them.

And as greg said get it remapped.

I would ideally like a new backbox aswell which can actually be seen unlike the standard one because i hate the look of the car where the exhaust is hidden away.

So what backbox would be good to match that ^^^^ system??

yep with the air fitter with the exhaust i think any cat back system fits straight on, fitting the mainfold might be a bit of a job, they also do a group n remap but you can pay bit extra for a rr one

God this is gonna get expensive buying a cat back system as well as the 182 fannimold and cat. eeeeeeeeekk.

don't have the cat, see if you can just get the manifold seeing as you want a decat.

have a look at simota's airfilters, i know a few people who use these and not just on clio's either.

thats only if you want an ater market exhaust the standard will prob fit to just ask k-tec they will know
