insurance claim?

  ph1 172
Driving along a national speed limit wide country road on thursday 4pm in my valver. Stopped raining but road still wet. Driving along at about 40-50mph and i see this car in a side road at the left and i lift off, then at the last moment the crazy woman pulls out.

Locked up, lifted off at the last second and missed her by about a foot. Hit a 2 inch high curb at about 25mph went up in the air and somehow ended back on the road.

Bent both left-hand turbines and burst both tyres, the front wheel is trashed the rear might be ok. The subframe is also bent.

The woman stops and is apologetic but doesnt admit guilt and then gets on the phone to her husband or somebody and then comes back and decideds that i was driving "way too fast" and that if i want any money, i would have "to fight it through insurance". No witnesses. The ironic thing is, if i'd have hit her it would be more clear cut, but i might have ended up in hospital.

Im insured TPFT, Ive got 2 years NCB and im 21 so over the next few years will save me a lot of money so i dont want to loose it.

I told her that i would consult with my dad and get back to her.

2 new tyres at trade prices will cost me £50 and i know of a pair of turbines i can get cheap and im sure a second hand subframe wont be too much, but the whole thing had pissed me off so much.

Partly i wish i'd called the police.

If you claim through her insurance, your ncb won't be affected iirc.

You can't claim through your insurance for repairs to your own car for obvious reasons (tpft) ;)
