Insurance on a 197

Im 22 and cannot seem to get insurance for a 197 that i want.


Has anyone body else got the same problem or have over come it?


any tips for me also.

i still want one tho i like the 172 and 182 but i dont think i would put a lot of money into owning one. i like the 197 a lot more. just had a quote back for 1700 with £750 exess

£1700 is silly money....combination of your age and price of car

The 197 is a lower insurance group than a 182 - i'd try the specialist brokers, but to be honest at 22 you aren't going to get it anywhere near a grand.

with admiral, £1200 on my 197 all options/mods declared. only 21 with 1 claim and 5 points.

i'm 21, 0 NCB and pay £1700 with direct line.

just done a quote from a lads house at work in Bridlington and it came down to 900 quid from 1900 where i live. how silly is this insurance rubbish!!
