Nice soiling on the passenger seat:

First job was to remove any clutter (..There was none!) and hoover.

In removing the floor mats though, I had to laugh. Look at the difference in the colour of the dirty and ‘clean’, carpet.

DSC06911wd.jpg

The mats had seen better days; made for a great turnaround though.

DSC06912wd.jpg

Ok, so.. Bio-Brisk was applied via spray bottle and the carpet pile was agitated with an upholstery brush. A couple of slow passes with water extraction were made closely followed by several more passes removing the water. A final scrub/dry was given with a MF.

A 50/50 on the passenger mat.

And here’s the collected water that was used for the front two mats alone:

Rear foot-wells were a bit dirty, too.

Again, a good wipe around was given with a clean microfibre to help remove any remaining residues.

Moving on to the seats now, a similar process was used as above but, extra care taken making sure the material didn’t get too wet.

More dirty water collected after the seats were vac’d.

(..You just don’t realise, do you?)

After all the ‘wet-work’ was complete, I equipped a few brushes and attacked the dash/centre-console and door cards.

50/50 attempts..

The lot was given another quick hoover out (as was the boot area) and the plastics were treated to 303 aerospace protectant.

Very pleased with the turnaround (especially the carpet work)

Work time four and a half hours.

Thanks for reading.

Car in question:

The owner had seen images of a previous e46 that I had worked on.. Leaving it looking something like this:

DSC06954wd.jpg

This one however was in a little worse condition. I received these images on email a few weeks back:

First job was to remove any litter and brush all surface dirt to the floor.

DSC00149wd.jpg

After this, a gentle scrub to the carpets to loosen the pile followed by a thorough hoover.

Loaded the VAX 6131 with clean warm water, armed myself with Bio-Brisk and a few microfibres then got to work..

Carpets first.

DSC00153wd.jpg

Dirty water collected after the passenger front & rear carpet.

Driver’s side looking pretty rough after the hoover:

Fresh water installed, dirty water poured away in readiness for seats.

Water after seats:

DSC00195wd.jpg

Doorcards wiped down and scrubbed where applicable, other interior plastics and surfaces cleaned. Seatbelt pulley, sun-visors, centre-console, pedals etc..

DSC00197wd.jpg

Another vac given to remove some surface debris and we’re nearly there..

DSC00198wd.jpg

As you can see in these shots, the heavily stained areas were not 100% removed..

Drivers seat still a little patchy:

DSC00199wd.jpg

And the lower-centre section of the rear bench had a stain that wasn’t fully removed.. Quite an improvement though!
