Intermittent Deadd Battery / Short?

Every week or two, I will go to start the car and all the lights come on then off (pre-flight) then go to crank and there's a crank or two of the motor then 'click' and everything is dead. Try again and its the same but less cranks, or half of one. If i get bumped then drive for a minute, then turn off the engine and try again, its fine.

Had the battery tested and its missing about 40 CCA's but advised is not really an issue.

Any ideas?

Get a new battery from Halfords, if it doesn't solve it you can get a refund,
I had very similar issues on my 172 and a new battery solved them.

For info I have had a new battery for a couple weeks now and all is well so far

Had a company car with a knackered battery, i had to jump start it every morning. Vauxhall tested it and said it was fine. persuaded my company to buy a new battery and it cured it.
Problem was, every time Vauxhall tested it, i'd been driving for an hour, so the battery was charged up!
Lesson learned!
