Intermittent Wipers Not Working - Why?

Hello All

Owned my 182 for a couple of days now and I've found my intermittent wipers aren't working. I set the stalk to number 1 and it doesnt matter what I twist the stalk to they don't seem to come on.

Any ideas why?

Setting 1 is 'automatic' so will come on when they detect rain, is my guess.

Also search for how to make sure the option is turned on

Its rained a bit yeah, but in that case I turned it to position 3 (always on)

If you have sensor at the top of your windscreen, seen from outside in the top middle, you will have auto wipers.

You do have auto lights and wipers.

Make sure you have the stalk one click down, it wont work if you have left it one click down and restarted the car, also water has to get onto the sensor for it to detect rain, so it wont always detect light rain.

I did a test with a bottle of water and YAY! I have auto wipers - very cool little find.

Scott - Whats this about auto headlights too?

Just worked out how to set the auto headlights! Amazing that I've just found those two options!!

My experience of auto lights/wipers is that they're pretty s**t lol. I've had them on two cars now. I'd much prefer manual lights and a proper variable intermittent wipe.

wipers now work fine after putting gel on sensor

Auto lights work ace... it's just the variable intermittent doesn't work. Intervals to fast with a light drizzle.

@TomEdwards your headlights should come auto-on or auto-off depending on light brightness. Like when entering a tunnel they should come on,
(auto headlights can be set off though)
