Introducing the little rascal (106 GTi)

  Astra SRI/ Hornet
Looks clean but the only blue worth having is china blue ; p. I owned one after a 172cup so was a bit meh but not a bad motor really.

  Mk2 Escort
Hey Sam, surprised you haven't seen this car on my facebook and put 2 and 2 together...

I forgot all about the MC on my Saxo and it didn't feel too bad tbh, but I will look into the MC upgrade if I do the brakes on this :)

Only after i posted did i realise ive got you on facebook. I haven't changed the MC on the saxo yet but after fcs and trax this year im stripping it to a shell and starting again so that's an option then.

Btw I used the 'Scuff master' leather repair kit on mine and the leather bolsters looked mint after. Cost about £15.

Reccomend the 206 gti 266mm brake upgrade as you can fit those under the standard 14's which look sweet!

thanks mate, I'll look into it. have been recommended "Glyptone" or something like that

so the rascal wont start, wont even try to start after replacing the clutch

the fuel relay just clicks its tits off, we though it was a bad earth but ive checked them and theyre good! so going to try replacing this relay and seeing if that fixes it

Picked it up on Saturday 9th June 2012.
The interior is quite sparce, this has to change. (no good for my 50 mile commute!)

Luckily I managed to get the stock seats with the car, so they went in last night

but...

I might look at getting some different seats in there in the future, but for now the Cupras will have to do!
Had to get it in the air for the first time on Sunday, the car was making a weird sound when I went over 60mph like a flapping, and there is a weird rumble thought to be a heatshield when the car is idling.
Used my trusty costco jack ;)

I found that the undertray only had one screw in it, and was flapping about very loosely (now sorted) and the rear rumble is the exhaust on the rear bumper, so I need to get some bigger rubbers for the rear two.
I hope to give the car some TLC, get the interior back in and upgrade the audio over time. Full thread will be up this weekend, it was a bit of a rash decidison buying the car due to a few personal s**t

Dan, PM me as and when you decide to sell it. I'd be interested, working or not, but I'm a few weeks off having the cash for it.

working of course! Wanting to get good money for it ( I hope)

Nothing tbh, was a good car and I'd spent a fair bit on it keeping it good. I got £4590 for it a week after advertising it for.... £4590 :D

No I'm not lol

I'll still be up for Blyton in the Cupra :)

29th July. Book yourself on.

Ooo whose was this? 4/5 people had them on CCUK lol. Cant remember whose this is.

I would of never have lifted a car that high in the air with a trolley jack :D

The Ibiza's are ok. Get a rear arb on it as soon as you can. My mates got one, 229 bhp with simple mods and a map. :)

Has he just bought/sold that? Saw it on pistonheads

This car already has a whiteline RARB, forge strut braces, coilovers etc and is running stage 2 (just shy of 240bhp)

I would never buy a modified car but I knew the previous owner personally.

I'll try and get a proper thread up for the Ibiza this weekend if the weather holds off for some pics
