Fring
Google
AirSharing
Traffic Info
iFooty
Midomi

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Download them and have a look.

(Airsharing is a wifi file sharing app, which you need to pay for)

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

New favourite - Snatch, going to be spot on for when my Mac Mini arrives.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

The test made me spend the money on the full version just for the keyboard. Saved me 70 quid on the wireless keyboard and mouse !

Seadragon from Microsoft is a very good tech demo of their new graphics display format which I think makes use of Silverlight. The world map zoom display is very good even when using 3G.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

tried snatch test, seems to detach my startmenu and i can drag it around windows. Bit strange

Also got seadragon, i like the way it zooms but not sure it has any real use

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Possibly not but it's still a cool app :)

Snatch Test was rubbish and unresponsive when I tried it on my Mac.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Snatch Test and the Full Version are both working sweetly here.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

LogMeIn - Ignition is on the Appstore, £18 though and from what I can gather that doesn't include any additional yearly subscription.

Was also looking at Ferrari Challenge or whatever it's called by Gameloft, but at £6 I'll leave it for now.

Just waiting for Citrix to release their App now...

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Japanese publisher and developer Konami has finally revealed the meaning behind its Metal Gear teaser earlier this month – and as predicted by one eagle-eyed reader, it is indeed a new iPhone and iPod Touch outing.

Metal Gear Solid Touch is an original title based on the characters and events of recent PS3 release MGS4, and offers direct control through Apple’s touch screen. The game will include eight levels upon its release later this month, though further levels are promised at a later stage.

Also confirmed are iPod Touch and iPhone outings for survival horror franchise Silent Hill, rhythm-action series Dance Dance Revolution and arcade classic Frogger.

I use Air mouse ...much prefer it to snatch

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Silent Hill - The Escape

Available from the App Store now, £3.49

No idea if it's good or not.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Silent Hill looks crap too me.

Wunder Radio is fantastic though, bought it yesterday...top notch!

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

A handy app that lists results of places that are funnily enough around me :)

Bars, Pubs, Cinemas, Taxi firms, cash machines etc

WunderRadio is very good.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Cool.

You tried Google Earth? Its impressive indeed. Touch scroll, zoom and spin FTW. Just wish they'd update some of the photographic points and locations.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Google Earth is pretty pointless though tbh. Wish they'd enabled streetview in London, much more useful.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

Yeah, it is pointless, but shows off the Touch well :)

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

StreetView will be made available for the UK within Maps soon, should be good.

Re: iphone appstore must haves?

if anyone can think of a cool, must have app, or have been looking for something that you need but can find. let me know as I/my company are developing apps and need some ideas.
