iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

I stumbled across photoshop for iPhone tonight. It is Adobes own app and it is actually pretty cool. If you want to edit photos on your phone (crop, correct colour, add some effects etc) then it is worth a go.

You got a itunes link for that? Can't find it :(

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

whats that scutch?

Search for it on the App store and read the description. I downloaded it just from reading that and the reviews it had picked up. 95% average on Metacritic and the 2nd best iPhone game according to the information. No idea if it's genuine, but good stuff, anyway.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

+1 on fayju ball, just tried the demo, going to get the full version now.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

Iblast moki is a decent game but not the best,

Fayju Ball is preety good game, annoying on the 3/4 level were the small ball goes into the middle but it was just hard to get lol,

As mentioned by Maggiore, not in Europe yet but you can create a US account or find a version on the net to download outside of itunes. Its (officially) free I think.

Downloaded this last night, it's not bad for free.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

does it make it the best navigation app now then? tempted

Update out. 8.0.0.417

New features and improvements include:
- iPhone keyboard
- Improved contacts destination entry
- Improved GPS performance in walking mode
- Update button for in-app safety camera database downloads
- Additional stability and performance improvements
- Ability to switch-off menu beeps and voice instructions
- Smart call handling remembers your destination after a phone call
- Fixed landscape freeze after phone call issue
- GPS reliability improvements

Still no TTS despite the US version getting this a couple of weeks ago.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

TTS is due in the next update which is HUGE!!

iPod control, music cutout options, in app purchasing for premium live services and TTS.
And more GPS improvements.

The latest update pushes it way way ahead of the competition, the next one blows them all away.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

I finally managed to sort the issues I was having with copilot (mainly struggling to get a gps fix). If I turn it on when the iPhone is connected to the headunit, it won't work. If I let it get gps fix before connecting to the headunit, works much better. Still gets hideously lost at the m40/m5 junction, no idea why.
Still not a match for a proper sat nav for me, but a good back up to have.

The routing choices it makes still puts me off of buying it though, people complain about that more than anything. With TT the routing is mainly excellent.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

You just need to change the routing profile.

Then its sorted.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

Free Live TV on your iphone or ipod touch

Today is tvcatchup's first birthday

So today they have released an application where you can now watch their streams on the iphone or itouch.

This is what is says on their forum;

TVCatchup is now compatible with the IPhone (or IPod Touch). To watch TVCatchup on your IPhone, simply go to:

http://iphone.tvcatchup.com

There are currently 12 channels available for testing purposes. The streams are optimsed to work on both 3G and WiFi, although it is suggested that you use WiFi.

Please remember an Uk Tv licence is needed for viweing however tvcatchup dont police this.

If anyone has any problems visit their forums, they will be happy to answer your questions they are such a nice bunch of people.

Also a word of advice with those using 3g make sure you dont go over your limits, even if you have unlimited! Best bet is to use wifi.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

Sorry mate, didnt see it

not a problem at all mate. my best mate designed the iphone UI for it as a favour for a mate who works for tvcatchup.
i saw the.....beta beta a few weeks back but was asked not to say anything about it.

he texed me this morning and then twittered that it was "released" as a beta.

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

Its creating a bit of a buzz I think. I told a guy at work but he had heard last night. Apparently TVCatchup and and few users have contact "the Gadget Show" peeps to let them know, and I heard they were singing its praises on AVForums

Re: iPhone "must have" apps?

cant quit figure out what the back buttons all about, it just goes back 30 seconds right?

Would be good if they make a webapp for actual tv catcup, its nice have iphone iPlayer webapp but that could be made redundant - ad iplayer doesnt have Match of the Day.

Least with this it can be watched live if im away from home

This forum needs and iphone skin like some do (modmyi.com etc)

...wonder if there is enought people with iphone on here that would warrant it.

Full CS on Safari is a bit of a pain on Edge only connection where I live
