They should know the model numbers of the ones which are "broken" and just be able to send a re-call on those.
Why would it be a batch of broken phones? Aren't they all made the same? If the flaw exists, then it will cause issues for them all depending on what the signal is like in the particular area it is being used.
I walked away from a 32gb iP4 today.
Something just didn't feel right. Anyone else feel like peer pressure is making you want one?
That letter is a joke, so what are they going to do about it, change the size of the bars? Is there anyone on here that has one without issues?
tut tut...
You'll be sorry for not buying it.
Not really, i've just ordered one sim free, delivery in 3 weeks :rasp:
i've still got 2 months on my contract left, might as well get the sissors out
All the fanboys have fault free ones. That letter is a joke, so what are they going to do about it, change the size of the bars? Is there anyone on here that has one without issues?
Never mind the signal issue. That doesn effect my phone. Sort out the fooking proximity sensor. I keep putting calls on hold and loudspeaker with my cheek!
My iPhone keeps going to NO SERVICE after I send a few texts, If it was just the fact that it was showing lower than it actually was then these txts would still go, but it genuinely has no signal. Turning it off and on seems to fix this but it is fookin stupid.
They are just doing what I said they would from the start, they will make the signal bar look like it has more signal that in does so that the blame for dropped calls and unsent texts gets shifter to the service providers. I love apple and iPhone but this is just unacceptable.
but if its showing it has 0 signal, the phone is going to think it has 0 signal and therefore not send the texts even if in reality there is signal available but its not being picked up and shown?
They haven't given many details tbh, until they do we should reserve judgement but I think this will fix it, Apple's customer service has always been one of their best points, I can't see them masking a problem like this it would damage their company too much.

Apparently restoring and not loading a backup is fix for that, unacceptable.
It feels in this thread now that people aren't allowed to say anything good about the phone without gettig branded a 'fanboy'... it's a shame because it's a brilliant piece of kit that isn't even being discussed for its merits.
