iphone reduced on price friday.

According to some news which I read this morning, o2 are going to reduce the cost of the Iphone.

It did not specify if it was going to be a drop on the price of the handset or the line rental.

Personally, I think they are going to re-structure their current tariffs, however, the phone will stay the same price.

Iphone as we know it is an 8gig ipod with the phone functionality for £269, Itouch 8gig is £199 so not too bad*.

Thought I would share this.

Three plans will be offered. The new £35 option delivers 600 minutes at 500 SMSes per month, up from the 200/200 combination of its predecessor.

£45 per month now buys 1200 minutes and 500 texts - up from 600 minutes and the same as the old £55 tariff, which has been eliminated.

For the heavy talkers, a new £75 monthly rate offers 3000 minutes and (you guessed it) 500 SMSes.

If 500 texts just don't do it for you, an extra £7.50 per month removes that limit. You can also pay for more talk time.

All three plans include nominally unlimited email and web data traffic and use of The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots. Audio or video streaming, VoIP and file sharing (including P2P) are forbidden.

As with most mobile services, be sure to read the fine print before using your iPhone outside of the UK, or to call or text "special" or overseas numbers, otherwise you may get a shock when extra charges appear on your bill.

Existing customers will be moved to the new plans by the middle of March.
