Ipod Home Speaker Systems

Looking to invest in one of these in the near future but there's so many about I haven't really got much of a clue as to which ones are any good.

Like the Apple Ipod Hifi and also the Bose version.

Also like a couple of the Intempo products, but have never heard of Intempo before so not sure on there reputation!

This will be just for my room and not as the main house system, but would still like a bit of quality!

Anybody had any experiences of the above, the only one i've heard play is the Bose and thats pretty impressive

i have only had the bose and that is superb for the size. real room filling sound.

If you've got decent kit it'll probably have better sound than the dock/speaker systems too.

If my imac wasnt already connected to my seperates then I'd use my ipod with them rather than get a speaker system.

I've removed my hifi and slung it in the bin about a year ago

Up until recently i had a set of floorstanders wired up to an amp that was running through my pc, but pc has now moved into another room now and i've given my sister the speakers and amp for her house at uni to free up a bit of space in my room.......so the av connector kit is out of the question really

I got a JBL On-Time for xmas, sounds f**king mint and it's quite small too. Easily fills my room with the sound and i've got quite a big room.

The Bose sounddock is awesome... best money I've spent for a long time.. Anything else is a step down in quality

I haven't noticed the volume problem they mention as that's too loud to worry about really.

Plus it looks better
