Is an exhaust worth it

OK, Iwas going to get a magnex ordered today, but after phoning the dreaded insurance company they want £39 (not bad!) but they have to increase my excess to £600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aparently the stainless steel will give me 10% more power they reckon .

I told the girl I wish! Probably nearer 2hp.

Shall i or shall i not?

Find a different insurence compnay, mine has no idea of power gains, so i could fit a de-cat and tell them i will get no extra power, just noise and it wont effect it, if they find out it will i will just say i know nothing abut motors and that was what i was told, and hope they dont look at all my boxes of tools in the garage

I would say wait till may, swap insurence companies and then get it, £600 excess is ALOT!!

Im really pleased with mine. I said Id never buy one, but after a few months I got bored of there not being an exhaust note so got the Magnex Cat Back system. It strikes a good balance, although if I didnt have to use the car daily Id go for the full supersprint race system with decat.

When my insurance asked if there was a performance increase I told them maybe a very small one. They just charged me £25 admin fee for new paperwork stating the zorst was on the car.

I had to tell them which one off of a list it was! Couldnt believe it!
