Is blue the new black? terrible wheel refurb!!

So, I took my wheel to the wheel ''Specialist'' today for a refurb, I dropped it off, and said basically fix the scuff, and make it new, make sure it matches the centre cap, I even gave them the colour code for the wheel. even though It's not exactly difficult to get.
I received a phone call saying it was done, when I arrived, I wasn't happy at all, After some heated discussion, I was told they couldn't get it to match, and thats the nearest to black they could get? .. Oh dear..

I ended up with my money back which isn't all bad, but i'm pretty annoyed i'll be driving about with a odd wheel till its sorted!

notice in pic 4, the paint was starting to flake off whilst it was still in my boot? haha. To be honest, I'm just going to buy a new wheel, that cost me £54, all be it I got my money back, the next person to try and fail might not give it me.

Sadly they are a franchise. Very very poor and it's all about the man at the helm imo. Crap owner, crap work.

aye, he runs the diamond cutting place next door now, I used to work with him, He ran rapid fit at our place before arnold clark took over and decided they wanted a bigger showroom, and mechanics can fit tyres ha.

shame because I was really disappointed.

I have his card, I tried to call a few times wed and couldn't get through, I've Just ordered a new wheel instead, saves hassle, only £115 + vat cost price to me so i'm happy with that.

If you're looking for another powder coaters, Bettablast at Shiremoor come highly recommended. They did a great job on mine, and £40 per corner (if you take the tyre off) isn't bad at all.

Glad you got your money back, that refurb is terrible, they may as well have done it in pink!
