Is it necessary to disconnect battery when taking out driver seat?

Yes you need to disconnect the battery and leave for 45mins and for goods sake do not touch any of the electrical connectors with your bare hands as your body produces 1.6 volts of electricity which is sufficient enough to activate the air bag =loss of hand or fingers.
