is it worth remaping a 172 cup

hi are chips and remaps worth it i have spoke to some people who say u dont notice any more power.
can it be done to my standard ecu and whats the most power i could get from one and what makes are good heard super chips are the worst

I wouldn't bother unless you have some other modifications.
You won't get much power as there not much can be done stock you will get some more mid range power though but its not going to be huge.

About 6-8bhp expected and 15ft/lb torque typically. But mapping can make the car more usable by widening the powerband and increasing the rev limiter to 8k.

Personally id go with this:

ITG Panel filter
S/S Wider bore catback
Decat
Inlet matching
Mapping

In that order.
