Jamsport 4 pot kit - discs.

  XC90, 330d, Trophy’s
Would anyone happen to know what discs Jamsport use for the Wilwood 4 pot kit?

with my brake setup requiring a new set of discs for this kit, and knowing the discs they have used in the past are 5 stud items drilled to suit, I just wondered if anyone knew what discs they were that they use.

its handy as the father in law works at a motorfactors so I could easily get the discs, and a good mate with all of the lathes and milling equipment, I could easily have them drilled to suit.

Anyone know atall?

cheers :)

Ah, I was talking to fred about these on saturday, they use a really badly modified toyota disc and they're s**t.

Ha ha, cheers, but doesn't fully help.
do you know what discs atall, so I can atleast start to match it.
it would be nice to know what options i can use as replacements.
cheers

Use standard and get your mate to mill down your caliper mounts.....sorted. Cheap disks with no other mods needed next time you need to replace disks.

If you want a direct replacement then I think you'll need to measure the ones that are on Kelv, as there looks to be various diameter Toyota discs, they are 62mm centres but don't know the diameter that you have. Quick Google found three diameters at least. Think the above solution sounds better to avoid the shake, rattle and roll.

Jam use AP discs on the 'bell and rotor' setup.

if I had more time I would have a set of bells and rotors made up to save a little weight, but with its next outing only a week away I was hoping to replace the discs almost like for like just for now, my own error as I'd forgotten the discs were on they way out when the brakes were last used about 4 months ago.

the off the shelf one piece discs are Pagid 54639 but you'll need them redrilling to 4 stud

depending on how old your kit is they did use a different Brembo Toyota disc, best to ring Jamsport to find out (or it'll be stamped onto your disc edge)

Cheers Fred.

to be honest, I was holding off calling them as I can't imagine they will be overly impressed if I intend on buying discs elsewhere.

the kit is probably nearing on towards a year and a half old now.

They are indeed.
i nipped back down to the unit, whizzed a disc off and gave it a good seeing to with the wire brush until the engrave details were all clear.
the code matches perfectly with the pagid code as quoted by Fred (thanks buddy)

the unit next door to us MTS (ford people) pulled out their EBC catalogue and cross referenced the part number and can supply a standard or grooved equivalent disc if I wanted to go with the EBC option.
My local Euro Car Parts have the Pagid discs in stock aswell which is super handy.

now just need to see what the cost difference is on the EBC option.
never used EBC products before, always classed them as a cheap and shifty option, but anyone know otherwise? Could they be any good if they serve a purpose for a few months?

I would avoid EBC at all costs personally, their products should come with free life insurance.

the main problem with that kit is the fact clios are 60mm centre bore, and their toyota discs are 62mm centre bore, HOW THE f**k DO YOU CENTRE THEM ON THE HUB?? ie you can't out the box unless you machine out the toyota discs and fit a spacer/spigot of your own!

I could have a look at prices for Brembo discs for you if you wanted as well , just another option like if they fit

^ Doesn't sound ideal, is that how it comes with the kit then from new

yup not very good, but it is a "budget" kit, apparently the toyota (brembo) disc they did use has a different fitment/offset to the current discs they use

I took one look at the re-drilled discs and shuddered. Luckily got a set with the bells and rotors 2nd hand for half what jam-sport charge

I can't believe the bells and rotors on their own are £600!
