Jaws going into Janspeed as their development car tomorrow!

Car  Black Gold with cup packs
The Cup is going into Janspeed tomorrow and will be off the road for 3-4 weeks as it is going to be used as their 197 Development car. Looking forward as to what the results will be. Got to phone them today to find out if the work they are doing will effect my Warranty?
I know they are fitting a Full 197 sport exhaust system, a custom induction kit and coilover suspension setup. Will keep you up to date as things progress!
 
Sounds great....always rated Janspeeds products and I'm sure they'll do a good job on the 197:D
 
3-4wks is a fair stint! I have no reserves about the quality of the stuff tho! :)

Awesome, I'll also keep an eye out for it being ragged about.

A mate wants some cup wheels too, so have to see if they leave it out at night!!
 
Concider yourself the lucky1 hope they dont rag the cup to much (LOVE THE CUP) and forget the courtesy car?
 
I didn't want a loan car, as the work is being done for free, but some people here feel I should be entitled to one, I will keep that one to myself, I have already arranged alternative transport for myself anyway.

Exactly my thinking, i'd ask and see what they say. 3-4weeks is quite a long time tbh, and i'd say that lot isn't going to do wonders for your warrenty either. Gives them something to get out of repairing stuff on most things if they wanted to really.
 
i got a loan car from k-tec (a 172) when they were using my car for development...

doesn't hurt to ask, but I wouldn't be suprised if they tell you to forget it and move onto the next 197 in the queue.
 
I'm a tad concerned about my warranty though, I have been in touch with Reanult and they have said IF my car does come in for warranty work and the fault can be traced back to any of the non renault parts then the warranty would be void, I am currently waiting for a call from Dan at Janspeed for a chat about them covering me in the event that anything does happen during my warranty period due to their parts

No I pulled it off fella. I have decided to keep it for now.
I have been in touch with Janspeed They will give all my original parts back in case anything happens, it is all easily changed back to standard
 
Ah cool :) Plus, it's gonna be extra awesome once it comes back with coilovers and breathing mods :D

Thats what i'd worry about being a brand new car, i/k, coils and exhaust gives them a pretty wide scope to make some shite up to the pay out for warrenty work.

Would you guys be having second thoughts about getting this work done (like I am) on a 2 month old car?
The parts changed are not exactly likley to cause problems, but I am worried about touching the suspensin set up!
I think the breathing mods should be fine though. I could do with some reassurance!
 
You are getting a good deal out of it from it but personally I wouldnt give away my 197....
 
dude, if you're not 100% on having it done, there will be a list of 197 owners after you who would jump at the chance. Maybe you should offer one of them the opportunity instead, who will appreciate it more?
 
lmfao! thats a no-brainer for me?

Hmmm - get all them Janspeed for nothing? or

take the chance that something MIGHT go wrong and your warranty is void?

tick tock tick tock..

the choice is an easy one for most 197 owners i would guess?
