Cheers @Dr Jekyll she's getting how I want her. I'll crack camera out and get some decent snaps soon too!

Yes mate, please do. I like your pics and i like your ph1. Its a win win  Looks great now it has the correct arch gap and some spacers added

That looks absolutely stunning.

Keep pining after another Clio but not sure I'll miss my 225.

Should've kept my old 182.

Thanks buddy. Hindsight and all that. Im sure we've all been there at some point!

Looks awesome as usual, you certainly have the photography dialed in now too!

I'm hoping to make it over to CSF too, it would be good to meet you properly

I loving the picture taking. The more i do, the better i get but im just a beginner and have a lot to learn still, but im enjoying it.

If you could make CSF, that would be great. Be nice to meet you too and have a chat in person. Above all, it really is a great weekend. Its my fave car thing i go to throughout the year

Off topic but...
The for sale thread for your Identity bike just came up in 'similar threads' below this.
That where your name comes from? haha
I remember when I was much younger, and into MTB and that, but was a kid so had no money. Used to buy MTBUK, always had adverts for the Dr Jekyll Frame. Used to be my dream bike that did lol!

It was 100% because of that!

I was living with my nan at the time and it was in the garden when I was looking to join. I looked around at inspiration for a forum name and saw that and thought it would be a cool name. I've just stuck with it.

The bike itself was a great spec and I was younger and treated myself to it and changed it a bit during the build. I actually swapped it for some coilovers and 2118s!

Some more pics of the bike here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsju5J62y

I wanted one ever since a guy at secondary school had one, but I couldn't afford one at the time. I did spend a pretty penny on it eventually.

Gave the Sabelt a clean today. Well i tried the best i could. Unfortunately its lost quite a bit of colour but its a lot better now than it was before i started. It will do until i get it retrimmed. I do love the wheel and even more so now that they have been discontinued, so its worth keeping it now. Will look great once its retrimmed, but unsure when that'll be.

Huge difference! Actually looked like a full black suede steering wheel beforehand. Wonder if it'd help with a debobbler now after you've brushed it up.
Half expected photos of you in the bath with the steering wheel tbh :)

I saw the shower gel pop up on flickr and wondered what you were up to! Nice turn around there, as you say it should look great retrimmed.

I'm doing the seatbelts today, while it's sitting in a bucket of vanish gold! Dabbed the nail brush in there and gave the blue on the steering wheel another going over so hopefully that make it'll look a tad better. Will get some pics today bit the wheel looks a lot better than those pics above.

Great work as always, as mentioned above it looked almost 100% black before.

Look forward to hopefully meeting you on Saturday.

Come up well has that wheel. I'd love one but they're waaaaay too expensive now and I don't think the blue would work with orange.

It was mate. I actually looked at it today and it looks bluer than the pics tbh.

Yes mate, i will be there

Yeah they've seemed to have raised in price for 2nd ones now, especially because you cant get them new anymore.

Did my seatbelts today. Leaving the belts in a bucket of hot water and Vanish Gold makes them come up like new again!

And a few more pics of the Sabelt in daylight this time. You can even see how blue it is now in the 4th pic above too.

Pretty happy with that for some shower gel, nail brush and a scrub!

Vanish gold is your friend!
Nearly bought a used sparco wheel today on ebay but resisted temptation. Suede just looks so nice, but i agree that the blue sabelt wouldn't really suit BG.. or would it?

Gonna grab some vanish tomorrow from poundland too!

It suits all Renault sports!

Aldi oxy clean will also do the seatbelts. I prefer the granules over the liquid but it all works. Leave to soak and then use a washing up sponge with the brillo bit and scrub and it comes up sweet. Looks dark when it's wet as to be expected, but rest assured once it's dry it'll come up lovely.

Its been on my mind to change my fog ducts for a while now. I love having the mesh there but 1: Because it was originally gold mesh that i sprayed black, it kept getting chipped revealing the gold underneath. 2: I didn't really like how deep the dish was on the mesh. In hindsight, i would have liked to have it more forward.

I left it like this until i was speaking to @Louis' as he wanted to do similar. He found some mesh but didn't need it all so we went halfs. He bought it, took what he needed and sent me the remainder for half the cost  I also got some 2nd fog surrounds (As i ruined one with a mop i used a few months ago!) and some new 100mm bass ports off eBay and set about doing my ducts again.

I cut some fiberglass rings up at work, like i did before.

34454646265_e9a5160bbb_z.jpg

Cut the mesh to fit the rings

34324225241_cfb7183765_z.jpg

I then drilled and riveted the rings to the mesh and cut to shape. After that i gave them a couple of coats of satin black and lacquer.

34413197436_523683d224_z.jpg

I then rested the mesh rings in the ports on some sweet pots to get the right dish depth and then added some PU sealer and hot glue to bond them in the final position.

34454619665_25e5539d5b_z.jpg

All done. I gave the mesh another coat of satin black as i didn't want the gloss look, but still wanted them protected. Gave the surrounds a rub of AF trim restorer

I like them more than the old ones. If im honest i prefer the mesh gaps on the old ones but its so minor its not a issue, and the way these sit and the fact that these are fully black and not gold underneath makes me happy! I finished with a few pics

Those new ducts look superb Mark, you do make some nice touches to the car it has to be said :up:

I can see what you mean about the mesh gap but wouldn't bother me either tbh, I just really like the riveted then painted look on these new ones

That's guys! They look kind oem which is nice. The gloss form the lacquer made it stand out too much where as the satin look is much more sutble.

In other news, I've said all along that this car is not mint and I've never been bothered and the scars it has but I take that back. Parked in my local Tesco today and was in there no longer that 15 mins and some fucker gave my rear sister and nice ding. There is 2 marks so it's happened twice! I take pride in the RB and a lot of work has gone on to this, and some people just have no respect for other people's cars!

Oh well, guess I'll have to have a reunion with the dent man!

Damn they are bad ones. Good job they aren't in your sister or the dent man would have to give her some real hammer to sort them[emoji23].

So sorry to hear about the dent Mark.

The lack of care people take over cars annoys me massively. I've never once hit my car door on another vehicle and if I ever did I would leave my details.

Hopefully you get it sorted shortly.
