Very funny fellas. Also very old.

Basically the whole process has been held up by the engine build......in particular the cams. All will be explained in due course by Tom in probably a more diplomatic manner than what i can muster.

Needless to say that updates have not been coming in thick and fast even though we have made lots of headway with the car up to this point, but to be honest we aren't too bothered who we 'let down' or 'disappoint' as long as we and our sponsors are happy.
The car will basically be done when its done.

UPDATE

Well the camshaft issues that have caused the delays have now (hopefully) been put behind us. This meant that Tom could build the engine back up, bolt all the pretty powdercoated parts back on and as of last night, reunite it with the rebuilt gearbox and then reunite the whole thing with the car.

Obviously while all the engine fun has been going on there has been a lot of work going on inside the car. Im lacking detailed pics but the seat mounts were made and the seat is now in, the polycarbs are all fitted all well as the heated screen :)rasp:) and James, sparky specialist, has wired up the interior loom and mounted a central control switch box so we hav working lights, wipers etc.

There is still a long list of things 'to do' but we'll get there. I'll be throwing myself into the mix to sort out the things that im allowed to do (or should i say the things that Tom can bear to let go of and let someone else do ;)), things like the new doorcards, harnesses etc.
We should also see the new wheel colour next week......that may give a clue to the colour scheme we plan to run with...;)

Now that IS looking nice. Where did the ITG filter and backing plate come from?

We got chatting to one of the guys from ITG, who's name escapes me, when we went to the Autosport show earlier in the year so he hooked us up with this setup. We trial fitted the bonnet this morning and it sat a little proud so Tom has 'fettled' the inner skin and now it fits perfectly.

  TrackCar & F30 330d
The backing plate looks like the one i have from Reverie. Very nice bit of carbon fibre :)

I'm not really a fan of ITG, as the filter i ran on my ITB's felt quite restrictive which is why i'm back with Pipercross.

The Engine mount/cambelt cover looks a little odd in black. Would have looked better if it was silver or had the fancy underwater shot blasting thing the cam cover had.

Good work tho Lads :)

It's a combo of the delete kit pulleys and the cup alt setup...complete with a new alternator and a flanged crankshaft pulley.

Im after a filter setup like this, the ITG filter supplied with the ktec throttle bodies is pants,

if anyone can give me a link to it, or point me in the direction of where to get it from that would be great

The Carbon backing plate/box

The Filter I use

But i'd give Dan a ring from 519 Automotive as he is the best person to get them from as he is the cheapest.

I'm running the biggest filter they do, the C604D but you can probably get away with a smaller one if you have the DTH bodies. You just need to make sure you have as least 19mm from the end of you trumpets to the inner face of the filter. I also bought the biggest filter as I'm putting 120mm trumpets on mine over the winter.
