just diamond brited my clio

hello all

ive just diamond brited my clio and i think it looks really good but want opinions really.
im also adding pics of my engine bay as im proud of that, the reason being i took it to renault and they told me its the cleanest engine bay that they have seen on a car as old as mine plus my millage is only 18995 which is also very low for a 51 plate.

plus these are further pics from my last thread when i told you all about my new baby (172)

i really do love my car :) :)
i know its sounds sad but i do :)

looks lovely and clean, i love the colour!! Wanna swap cars? lol.. engine bays a bit dirtier than yours ;)

would really recommend diamond brite it really works and makes the car look supper clean :) as you can see

Very clean & a great colour (we've got one just like it) a set of clear reps will look loads better than the orange ones (cheap as chips too)

im a huge fan of keeping it standard (increases value if i ever need to sell it) but thanks anyway dude :)

Late 2002 ones had them clear as standard - our does (52 reg) Plus it's not really a mod either.

sweet, I love flame red. Do you just keep the car in bubble wrap?

it may look like that but i do hand wash and wax every week to keep it in good condition. You think the outside is clean the inside is like new :)
i like to take pride in my motor but if i could bubble wrap it i would :) :)

I couldn't bubble wrap anything, i'd spend all my time popping the bubbles

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Looks like a tidy motor but I think somewhere along the lines you've rushed it/done a bad job - the driver's door pic looks terrible - like there's loads of swirls or half-removed polish. I'd go over it again with a decent microfibre towel just making sure you've removed all the residue and keeping it damp with some Meguiars Quik Detailer or similar!

As for your engine bay, all it needs is the cover stripping off and cover the rest in tinfoil (around the manifold and injector cover) all the way up the windscreen, down the bumper and over the arches - saves having to get a gasket. Just spray a light coat of silver hammerite (smooth!) and use a block of 600-grit to take the paint off the lettering. Should come out like this:

Other than that looks well looked after - gorgeous colour! Still prefer Black Gold though, but I think that's a pride of ownership thing!

i have checked the door and no polish there could be the light catching it funny. The engine im happy with as it is spotless dont want to really go changing anything as i said before want to keep it standard.
thanks for your opinion tho dude

Look fine to me and i'm an OCD ;)

Fair play for wanting to stay standard!! :)
lol - it's a set of side clear repeaters, not a pink paint job & some spoliers !;)

Lol, if it didn't come with them there not standard :rasp:

Looks spot on to me too!

Agreed, there just jellous ;)

how do u dimond bright a car ? is there companys that do it for u

Its 2 bottles which is applied in stages obviously stage 1 leave to dry then stage 2. it takes some buffing mind but it looks great and protects your paint. My mate gets me the polish could ask him for you otherwise it should be availible on the internet somewhere

my car has gone from extremly clean on mon to being gritted by the nasty geezer who always smiles as he drives past you covering it in grit and snow - - - - god dam winter stroll on summer :(
