Just Ordered my 197

Hey up everyone,
Just back from ordering my new Albi Blue197 ,
also had to say goodbye to my furby vrs .
Was a member of briskoda.net and enjoyed the forums and local meets.
Hope to have the same with this forum.
Oh by the way the car won't be here till the end of April.

Who were you on briskoda? I was a member there for quite a while. Had some good north east meets with them too.

Has it moved the game on enough though? From the reviews that I have read the new Cooper S is the better "hot hatch", ie power and handling wise. Seems to me that with the 197 Renault have sacrificed a bit of what made 172/182 popular, a gutsy engine and fun handling.

Not slagging the 197, I actually like the look of it inside and out but the reports about the lack of performance seems to let it down in my view.

Great colour, I was behind one which was on a test drive from the dealers on the weekend.

I wasn't to keen before, but it looked awesome drivng down the road.

The price is just to close to the Megane for me.

Indeed chap, it is all a matter of opinion really, as one magazine saysthat and another says this etc. Some would argue the Megane R26 is now king for example. I like Autocar's opinion so i go with them tbh. And yeah, i am always going to 'big up' the car i own! lol that's just human nature!
