Just Picked Up New 182

After a long wait, finally go the car home yesterday. Horrendous 10 hour drive to bring it back but got here in the end!

Anyway, reason for the post is I need the bonnet resprayed (black gold) and also one of the wheel centres needs paint too.

Does anyone know anywhere good (and preferably reasonably priced) near-ish to Edinburgh that could do this?

you can repaint the centre cap yourself - just get hold of the correct paint. ixell (brand) code: 205-110 and just spray it back up for a nice finish.

bonnet can be tricky so just ask around for a quality bodyshop, and in my experience when it comes to bodywork you really do get what you pay for.

cheers on the wheel centre! Will keep asking about re the body shop. Last one I went to was useless - overspray, interior stank of paint for months, paint dust everywhere, wasn't cheap either.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

Center caps are so cheap 6-8 quid you may as well just buy a new one IMO.

I would recommend Seafield Coachworks, they can be expensive but they do a fantastic job.
There is also DH Autosprayers near Rosewell.

New just Renault as far as I know. Should be a part number kicking round on here somewhere

As its black it'll suit it..

Black gold is a pain in the arse to match tho i know a very very good bodyshop in Glasgow who resprayed the wing and blended in the front bumper when my car got damaged in a carpark..

Cheers for the tips guys, will get the new centre ordered from renault. Are there any franchises out there that aren't Arnold Shark?

Had some work done at Seafield before on a golf and wasn't hugely impressed so I'll give the guys in Glasgow a call.

Not sure about a carbon bonnet.. really want to keep the car looking as standard as possible. That said, if getting it sprayed will look s**t then I may have to go for one. Nightmare that it even needs doing.. the previous owner must have got some right monkey to do the work it looks awful.
