Just rang Renault.....

..... to see if they had 182 oil filters in. The had them in, £7 + vat, but they kept trying to fob me off with the cheaper range that renault put their name to, M...... (can't remember the name). Anyway, is there any difference with these cheaper filters aside from cosmetic? The guy told me they look identical internally and at £2+ vat, it seems silly to buy the blue filter when the cheaper one is the same.

Thoughts?

I always use genuine oil filters. Its £7, not £70!

(tbh, I think my Dad is the reason I am a bit anal with oil filters and oil! He was obsessed with changing his oil/filter every six months!)

Motrio, they use the oil aswell, none of the Elf pish they promote, pisses me off. dont even use the correct oil either, just a generic batch of Motrio

I know it's not much money anyway, I just thought it was strange to have the guy basically forcing the Motrio ones on me.

Yeahh we got them. Do the genuine and the Mann Filter range on that particular oil filter.

Yeah it is a bit random by Renault, maybe they've got some sort of staff bonus or something to try and push more of the motrio range?!
