Saw this place from a link on a another forum... and it seems like a really cool forum, and as far as I'm concerned, you love cars or u don't - so hope you guys don't mind me joining!

I really just wanna make some friends (online and in person) to talk about cars n have fun with cars.

Here Victor the Volvo - but not a Volvo as you know it. I'd post up the engine specs but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise if you meet me out n about on the roads

What do you think ?

PS - I'm in Glasgow, anyone on ere from around these parts??

It's the Ford engine - so not quite 400, however I'd love to have a copy of that book, is it for sale anywhere online?

Thanks - that's good to know! It's the 5inline 2.5 that goes into the Focus ST - with a down-pipe, Sports Cat, Stainless Exhaust, new FMIC, K&N, Stage 3 remap.

Suspension wise, it's got Eibachs, upgraded rear roll bar, geometry kit, oz alloys (make it much nice to drive cause they're so light) will be polybushed with Bilstein Dampers soon hopefully - need a new MAF i think at the moment cause the idle is a bit lumpy and my fuel economy is dropping steadily (as if it wasn't bad enuf already!)

Thanks it's BSR Stage 3 with the remap, although I don't think it's quite 280bhp even with the uprated intercooler - as they always talk b****cks in the marketing etc... The turbo has a max rating of 285bhp... so no engine of that type can get more without turbo mods - what it does have is fat wads of mid range torque ( 275lb-ft at the wheels at 2500rpm)

Thanks 228bhp at the wheels - that was on dynojet 97ron tho... so maybe a few more on Shell V-power, the intercooler gap isn't so big on the Volvo due to a different crash structure to the Focus... so i think that help back the performance a bit as they said it was retarding a bit in the upper rev range on the dyno, and the intake temps were getting a tad high - not sure how fast the fan is (was done at AVA near glasgow airport)

Personally I think there's something up with the map, plan to move over to a custom MTE map at some point - and get an Owens Developments ported turbo etc... I'd be happy with 250bhp at the wheels given the limitations of the block being open deck etc...

Mine is the S40.... His will be the S60R which is 4WD - not actually super quick for 300bhp once it's rolling (cause it's 1650kg) but is brutal if modified (but has a habit of cracking cylinder liners)

Have you tried cleaning your MAF with some electric contact cleaner? or you could have a dodgy coilpack.

i am not into these 'cruises' as its showered with dicks in trackie bottoms n buckfast. I do go to the cliosport meets. Theres one on Saturday iirc , driving meet up to St Andrews if you fancy it.
