But thats the whole point...its a Clio. The reason why this kind of argument never gets settled is because there is no right answer. Some people like modding little cars to make them quick and give people a fright, no matter how impractical/silly/expensive/time-consuming it is (A). Other people just buy a fast car or content themselves with a slow car and dream about buying one (B)
Its a black and white issue. Almost everyone on here is either type A or type B, and the two viewpoints are totally opposite. I wont convince anyone whos into buying a new car every three years and worries about depreciation and tax breaks, that THEY should get out the spanners and start modding/tuning. And nor will anyone ever convince ME that it makes sense to spend a hell of a lot of money all in one go, and lose money hand over fist every year, just to have whatever fast car is flavour of the month at the moment.
The very reason why some people think its ridiculous to tune a Clio to 200+bhp - i.e. because its just a Clio and its front wheel drive - is exactly the reason WHY I did it... To show that it can be done, regardless of how silly an idea it might be.
Its like the V6 advert that Renault had in the press recently with two columns, for and against or something like that, with the same attributes in both columns - i.e. no room for kids, eye-catching, etc. That really sums it up, whats good to some people is bad for others.
