K-TEC or MAGNEX!?!?!?!?

  BMW 125i
Was just about to order an exhaust and was convinced it would be the k-tec twin 3" cat back system, but now after considering an alternative (Magnex) i'm stuck and dont have a clue which to go for :S at the mo prob still k-tec due to price and that it has the slightly smaller tailpipes. But still im not sure (so annoying) lol so please settle my mind and help with my decision!! sound clips would be very much appreciated if there is much difference!
Thanks all

custom isnt that much at all. powerflow can be had for 250 for a cat back, with dubious stainless steel quality. pro-speed/howard&scott start at around 280 but with better quality stainless, so they're not rediculous. obviously gives the benefit of choosing the level of noise, and more options over tailpipes and fitment.

well im pretty much certain on a twin 3" tailpipe, i have heard a few sound clips of Ali's old k-tec system which sounded great was just a bit unsure between the two really!!

Not a 1.2 but i've had a Magnex on mine for over 18 months now and has been faultless. Great quality, nice sound and not crazy on the motorway. Lifetime guarantee while you own the car too.

Well i did have a magnex, but just got a cat back system from powerflow.. i am impressed with it :) but i spose it depends on what you like...

i had a powerflow on my 172 for about 3 months and i have to say it was rubbish, the build quality wasn't great and it rattled all the time.

I was put in touch with a bloke called Andy through my work, he owns Zorstec in Bradford, he built me a custom cat back system for £280, he did knock some off because he knows my boss but even at £340 or so it would be a bargain. the craftmanship is outstanding been made from grade 304 stainless its never going to rust, i chose a twin 3"tailpipe design that no-one has and the sound is unbelievable. I chose the tone to be nice and deep and if we have any meets soon you'll get to hear it.

Id agree with the previous posts, get a custom job then you know you'll be totally happy because you've designed how you want it to look/sound.

I've got a magnex, the looks aren't to everyones taste, but I'm liking them more and more.

The sound is goergeous and the quality seems pretty dam good.

with places like powerflow you've got to get lucky on the place you go. my local centre has always done a mint job, but ive heard loads of horror stories on other forums about poor craftmanship.

well there is a powerflow in swindon around 30min drive away, i got the impression that the k-tec system and magnex where good as i was looking at spending 250 on a cat back system like the k-tec one!!!

Go custom my friend. This way if anything goes wrong with it, just take it straight back to them. Its fixed free of charge. For life!
Also, as said before, you get to choose the noise level, style, where it sits, wether to have it cut into the bumper etc. It just doesn't make sense to buy a magnex/janspeed/remus etc, when you have virtually no control over how the rear box sits, how it sounds, or how it fits etc...... IMO anyway ;)

Sorry, but thats a lot of etc's!
