K-tec Racing/FK Racing Coilovers causing Camber Slant - HELP!!!

Hello people!!

Right, purchased coil-overs (a year old) from Trev on this forum. Went to Newcastle to get them, drove like 700 miles in a day! Anyways, got home and found that all 4 are seized!

Fitted the anyways, looks good lowered BUT the front tyres look like this:

They are slanted!!

My steering is also bent! Have to hold the steering left to go straight!


Thought it was the tracking, they said its the camber and it needs a 4 wheel alignment! Called the people that do that and they said it can't be done on a Clio!

On my other thread, I was told I can get special camber correcting bolts from K-tec.... any good?

What else could I do?

will be the tracking causing the problems you have mate. I bought some second hand FK coilovers for my 172 and was the worse mistake I made - I spent loads getting them set up and still handled terribly. In the end I sold them on and Bought Some H&R coilovers and the difference was incredible. Would never buy FK shocks again after that.
Camber will only really effect handling but wont cause the car to pull accross the road. I had the tracking done about 5 times before it was ok - best bet is to ask a tracking centre to set the wheel with no negative or positive degrees - you want the wheels as close to straight as you can and hopefully it will get better but imo FK are crap

Also Camber can be set with FK shocks as have built in camber adjustment but I had mine set and made no difference to how bad the car drove - I was gutted I ever bought them

I love the way they feel by the way, firm and steady. Its just a shame the tyres are slanted. BUT if what you're saying is accurate to these shocks/coilies then I may have a way out!!!

the mounting holes are wider than the actual bolts meaning you can move them about a bit which in turn adjusts the camber. Although on the set I had I thought it was the top hole that was bigger where as in that picture its the lower hole.
Someone one here will know better than me - Fred or Andrew from Yozzasport would be able to answer you properly - try giving one of them a ring for some advice

OMFG!!!! Need to get my tyres off and check! You may have just solved my lifes current predicament!!!

it takes a few goes just to make sure youve got em at the right angle,took me about 4 attempts to know id got it how i was happy till i take it to a specialist.

take wheels off , see if the bolt holes on the strut are longer than the bolt its self, it it is losen them and pull the top or bottom of the hub out to it ajusts the camber.

I know my 1.2 could be done like this but my 172 not

DONE IT!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Camber is fine now!!!

Now just have to find a way to un-seize the thread so I can lower more!

Will update more when I get home I am at work!!!
