Kangoo engine mounts - right part numbers?

currently looking at Kangoo diesel engine mounts and am wondering if anyone can confirm that i've the right part number/s

i've only called Renault so haven't had the opportunity to look at the illustrations

- the parts are for a 1.9 DCi (2003 - took a random registration from Autotrader..) - is this the right engine?
- O/S mount - 8200267625 - £50+VAT. is this the right one and is it a straight swap?
- Gearbox mount - 8200089697 - £17+VAT. can i even use this one?

any advice would be dead handy - don't want to order them in and find they're useless

Someone posted up last week that their using Kangoo mounts in a project as their ''allegedly'' stiffer due to the vehicle being a diesel, more torque, heavier engine etc

Taken off from there basically lol

i think it's been around for a good while; it's just that there's very little info about it on here

Do the mounts look the same? Just wondering how they could be gauged as being stiffer than the 172 / 182's one and how anyone would find out if they are?.

Basically is this all 100% factual or a unproven myth? :)

thanks for the offer; part of my problem is that i'm not sure which engine's which. a quick Google suggests that the DCi 4x4 code is 'FC0V' - but, again, no idea if that's the 'right' engine/configuration

is this from a parts CD? are you able to cut&paste the corresponding illustrations?

Yep apparently they are 'stiffer'. I'll let you know if they actualy are once I've got them on mine. However its not unusual for Diesel spec mounts to be stiffer than those spec'd for the Petrol version of the same car/van due to the differences in weight/torque the diesel engines produce.

Edited to add: The actual mount may be the same it may just be a difference in the 'buffers' on the top engine mount. The ones on the diesel mount I have are very much in contact with (and then some) the cage.

that's interesting, as i've renewed the top mount in mine for an ECP sourced mount and the buffers fill the shoulders, whereas some on here seem to complain that theirs don't (whilst appreciating that the buffers wear)

i've definitely heard elsewhere that the Kangoo mounts are supposedly beneficial but, unless the shore hardness of the rubber in the mount itself is stiffer, i can't see them being of benefit in mine

I'll let you know as soon as I've got mine into the workshop. I can test the stiffness pretty easily but then comparing it against an old mount is pretty useless.

The buffers on the mount I have here are under compression against the cage!

^^ right, when i got my NEW (RS) driverside mount the buffers had a couple of mm space each side to the cage.

Interesting !

^^ Yeh i have seen a pic of one of the mounts and it does NOT look up to the job . Rubbers being smaller/tiny-er ; in general not looking as stirdy as the RS mounts.


I've given up the search for cheaper/better mounts ; In future i will just bend over + get the OEM RS mounts whenever the gearstick tells me to :mad:

i think it's the torque that they may (or may not..) be uprated for.

Franx - have you seen len beach's (hope i've iirc'd that rightly) thread?
the KTEC mounts are made by Vibratechnics and shouldn't be crap; they're just a little expensive (presumably) due to all of the alloy

Went into GSF today and picked up this

I asked for a 172 mount and was given that, though it says its kangoo compatible

However, it *seems* reasonably stiff and the buffers fill the support thing so there is no movement!

quickly installed it too, much better than my completely snapped mount lol

Yep, same as mine. The buffer completely fills the right hand side of the mount as you look from the n/s.

The gearbox mount looks to be the same as the one that K-Tec sell as well.

Confirmation over the weekend.

For comparison this is the gap and where it should be on the standard mounts. Can anyone confirm if the dogebone mount on the Kangoo is compatable with the 172ph1 or ph2??

was about £48 I think in store... forgot to ask for club discount doh! :dapprove:

Matteh have you noticed any change in feel with these mounts compared to the RS ones ? Or have you been driving around with the broken ones so long before that you do'nt know the "feel" of the new oem RS ones anymore ?

i know of a similar thing with escort rs2000s (150bhp) using escort 75 diesel van lower arms as the diesel van parts are hardwaring for usage.
the kangoo could be the same with regards to the mounts
