KGM Insurance

I got a renewal in from Elephant and wasn't too surprised to find it quite expensive @ £550

So I jumped on confused.com, comparethemarket, elephant and admiral's websites to get some comparisons, all pretty similar.

I sent Greenlight my details and they've come back to me at £400 using KGM.

Any experience with KGM for claims / renewals etc?

I'm with KGM as well, but through Flux this year. Not had to claim, but I think anytime you claim insurance companies will suddenly become difficult lol

You tried Adrian Flux, they managed to beat the quote I got from Greenlight for £100!!

called elephant, went through my details told them the quote from KGM and they offered my £7.50 discount lol

I told them I'd be leaving... so they then got a manager involved and quoted me £457 with a lower excess than KGM so I'll prob stick with Elephant, I'll get a windscreen repair done to get my moneys worth!

Elephant renewals are a joke! This renewal and last year, I did the quote online and it was £130-140 cheaper both times! Last year I rang them and told them, they sorted it during that call. This year, Flux are cheaper with more miles and any non-power mods for free. And even if I get the car up to 185bhp (+13bhp in their eyes apparently) its only an extra £75. This was using Highway insurance.
