knocking from drivers wheel

just had the shocks, bearings and bushes changed recently. the knocking happens every time i go over a bump and is pretty f**king noisy ! pain in the arse ! i know this sounds stupid, but the rubber that goes over the rod of the shock is off. maybe something to do with this ? i'm no mechanic so it baffles me tbh. any ideas guys ?

It cant be because of the rubber missing.
I would check the wishbone (i am not sure that this is the correct word in english)

Just check everything is all tightened up and not falling off
