Lap top on TV?

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
Hi, On holiday, I managed to drop my laptop and break it :( The lap top itself is fine, But the screen is knackered. I went and bought a new laptop, All is cool But I was wondering if I could link my laptop with a broken screen, To my 32" HD TV? AFAIK the laptop is in perfect order bar the screen, It would be cool to use on my 32" though?

Any ideas?

thanks

Yer, your laptop should have a VGA port, just link it up. You might have to set it to display via the external port and that is where you might have a problem.

my laptop has a button on the keyboard that does that, take a photo of your keyboard for us, might be a help.

also it can be done using the alt button and arrows n stuff, i recs we kud have it between us, might take sum time tho if it doesnt have a button on the keyboard.

Ok, what does the tv have?

  • if it has a vga, then you need a vga to vga.
  • If it has a DVI then its vga to dvi,
  • If it has a hdmi then you need a vga to dvi then you need a dvi to hdmi adaptor
