Light weight batterey's??

Car  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
Been looking around for a light weight batterey for a few weeks now, came accross this on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tab%3DWatching 6.1kgs :D

If memory serves me right the standard batterey is around 15-18 kgs, can any one confirm? so in theory could be a 10kg weight saving :)

Would this batterey be suitable for normal road use as well? dont usally sit around for hours on end with the engine off & the music on, have no subs or any of that heavy s**te, pure light weight means i just have componets ;)

What you guys reckon, worth buying?

" post taken from my project thread, no one seems to have any answers :( "

i have a lightweight battery. does save some weight but is absolutely fine to use everyday. I use my car as a daily driver and it has never let me down. go for it!!!

Sweet  , what one did you use mate? that one i've found seems the "chepest" lol, have seen them going for £180+ :dead:

Got any links?

Cheers for the replys guys, how long can you usally get away with leaving it fred before the 172's idle electrics drain it beyond starting? my clio is becoming a weekend toy so would probarbly do nothing 5 days, but would do 100+ miles on the weekend, was looking at the redtop 25 as i take it the red top 20 is even less weight/amp's??

erm, about 3days IIRC, but i did install a kill switch so the battery was disconected and not loosing charge, but then you loose radio etc etc

Buy a portable jump starter james, wont need to worry if it dies then.
