I like how he doesn't know what puntuation is, I also enjoy the fact that on the infomation of it he states the engine size as 200cc.

How does someone like that even afford a car in the first place?

by payin a fraction of the price for a smashed one;) & most likely selling it on for a profit, you defo dont need to read/write to hammer/ weld then spanner/ rachet a few body panels into place:rasp:

what for? ive got alot more cars why on earth would i want to picture them and post on a website?

Fair enough, I like the M400 and would have been interested in seeing some photos, after all I thought everyone on here was 'into' cars and it would have been something to read / look at rather than the same old BMW / Clio photos.

I doubt ill be lucky enough to afford anything like a Noble...

i can assure you if the car had been smashed there is no way I would of brought it, it was the first one smashed in the uk, brought from bluecycle, for peanuts, the engine/ sump/ suspension and 70% of bodywork was smashed, was very lucky to get the parts 2nd hand from traynors and a few main dealers who had light smashed clams off customers which we repaired to use again, saving almost £10k in new part prices. Im never gonna show pic's especially over a forum of how we repair them it and what they look like now for obvious reason's

i have alot of cars; supercars right down to average polo/ clio/ fiat's as we repair alot of them & buy them on price not damage, i.e.if any smashed car goes for around 5/10% of the mkt price we usually buy, hence why im on here and may other forums buying parts as well as ebay. Got loads sat awaiting repair and many repaired, and may I point out they've all been smashed and very heavily CAT C obviously and some CAT B (yes you can put CAT B's back on the road) hence why can afford them and continue to repair many, if had the money to buy these sort of cars straight frm a showroom, defo wouldnt be on the forums and other sites trying to save a pound or two buying parts on the cheap, when you do it on a large scale saving £200-300 oneach car with used parts on 10-15 cars a month all adds up. I brought 80% frontend (wings/ bumper/ impact bar/ lights/ front panel/ rads all with light cracks/ scuffs) for a 2003- 2006 polo off ebay for £20 last month then paid £600 for a tdi polo 2004 with front bashed so got 75% of the parts to repair it for a fraction of the usual price, the cars worth £4k as its a low milers, so do the sums with that one!

Then 2 sport 182 bumpers with light cracks for £19 & £26 respectively the list goes on........

You can afford anything just as long as you can repair it but most importantly source the parts at the right price. for example a :Dv6 clio off :Dbluecycle 2 weeks back for £3.5k:approve: with light dent on wing/ bumper/ roof, the bargins are out there if you can repair them!

cheers;)

It sounds like a really interesting line of work, the build threads you could create on the more exotic stuff would be an epic read!

Although I can appreciate the time to document the work for other people's benefit is not high on the agenda ;)

hello, repairing these sort of cars isnt recommended unless u really know what your doing which is why there's no point starting build threads as these sort of cars i buy need extensive repairs hence why there so cheap!:D:D

This is what i would call light front damage smash, a absolute bargin for £520, yes FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY UK POUNDS, retails at £7000;

polo_105_eng.jpgpolo_105_osfr.jpgpolo_105_inter.jpgpolo_105_nsfr.jpgpolo_105_nsfr2.jpgpolo_105_nsrq.jpg

at these sort of prices no guarantees on start & drive, so you always have to expect the worst:eek: but at this price, i wouldnt give a toss, as the profit margin is there, u could keep it for 5yrs and still make a sizeable profit, hence why only buy them on price not damage.

unless u can do the bulk of the repairs yourselfs:) there's no point buying these hence why we pick them up so cheap as there not your average man repair, not only the frontend needs repairing but then the dash needs replacing which puts alot of people off:) as said if you can repair these sort of cars and get the parts at the right price your defo quids in and then some:cool:

cheers

Wow, wouldt ever cross
My mind that something like that is repairable!

I can see it's worth the work to put right if you have the know how, and for what was paid for that vw I guess your could break it for much more money even if you couldn't be assed looking at rebuilding!

I did lol a bit at the L plate still stuck on the back ;)

here's one i have going in for repair in a few weeks as got the parts, 2004 polo,22k miles, only paid £215:D

its easily worth £3.5-£4k,:D as you can see its not ur average repair hence why pay so little, nearly got all the bits for it, and another thing its always best to go for desirable makes, as they rarely lose much value if you have to have it sat around for a few months whilst finding bits on the cheap

thanks

ive had a few bits form there but not been in a year or so.

realised coparts have so many cars there prices r beginning to come down as they dont relist them like b4 with many on "pure" no reserve sales, but hbc is the cheapest due to there lack of damage description which puts alot of ppl off:approve:
