thanks f0xy and everyone whos helped, ok then the reason am asking we couldnt get into the back because its virtually impossible, and because we didnt remove the cover completey we couldnt see anything.. well hardly anyway.. so if your right, if i remove the plenum completley then wollah! it should be bang infront of my face?
just wondering should the coil pack plugs come out just by pulling? i found it extremely difficult to pull them out... is there a technique or release mechanism to get the buggers out?
i think there are like long rods that go inside to the spark plugs... these wires are the only obstruction i reckon to removing the whole plenum and to looking inside
gonna put my neck on the line here and say DONKEY!!!!
wat were u thinkin???
did someone honestly tell u this was gonna work???
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
update will be tmoro! my mates got all the tools...
and yeah it did feel noticeably more nippy and the induction kit sounded louder.. but am going to put the old filter back on once i get the cloth out..
Lmao at using a sock. Another chav mod is WD40 nitro if your interested. I doubt it would have caused serious damage and its a p1ss easy one to fix in all honesty.
Remember if you take the inlet off you may need to replace a gasket. If you have a cable throttle follow the cable from the pedal through the bulk head into the engine bay. It will end on the throttle body.
FINALLY! the cars done! and it was the rag thats got stuck in.... the engine light is still on but i wil get the garage to clear the codes and reset the car... pics will follow for all you guys who are dying to laugh.. lol
psml.. am going to clean all the shite out later... i drove home without a filter and the car felt IMMENSE...for a 1.2.. but unfortuntly the big cone has now gone back on..
i had no choice!!! its all fixed now.. i drove home sensibly.. but it sounded good.. :rasp: i was only 10 mins drive away from my friends house... id look like a tit carrying a random air filter wondering around..
