lower mount??

Hi peeps my 172 is making funny noises when i floor it at high revs its like a vibrating rattle. my mates 172 does too aparntley lots of 172 have it its the lower mount or dog bone one??? Is his the aftermaket ktec one that sme people have. Is there any adjustment one the standard one? Or is this not the prob and im just pissing in to the wind??

Cant adjust them, just replace it, piss job, get under the car to get it.

Sounds like the exhaust tbh.

Is there a lot of play with the gear stick? thatindicates a dud lower mount.

yeah there is its not the exhaust thats new stainless. yeah lots of play in the stick when flooring it!

Would the ktec one cure this? or is a new standard one ok?

Stock ones fine, the ktec is better as it makes the engine shake less but it will wear the other mounts faster how much faster depends on your driving etc.

My opinion also, if you uprate the dogbone, uprate other engines mounts also

Stick to stock items (dominos effect)

i have a ph1 172 so the ktec one wont fit will it? how my is renault gonna rape me for?

phase one is different, the mount is £32 ask for a 10% discount they always will give at least that take it to an independant garage should cost you 1/2 hour labour max
