Was on my way to work this morning and about 150meters down the road the car start's to fill up with smoke. At this point im bricking it thinking about what DannyR went through i though i was about to lose my car,

Open'd the bonnet and smoke came out straight away, i tried to look for any fire etc but nothing,

had a look around the passenger wheel and as i put my hand round the back i got burnt and my had was literally black, all the tyre had melted and came off in my hands :dead:

il let the pictures do the talking.... the depth of it was about 7mm

the thread on the tyres were excellent only less than a month old

Got it in one,

i couldnt free the strut at the road side, had to run home get a hammer and a flat headed screw driver to force the rings lose

Happened me once on the motorway......sh*t the pants moment indeed. Bad luck dude

Happened to me when some one knocked into me and knocked the camber out.

But who set them up in the first place, cause they shouldn't move once all tight !?

Mines got about 5mm clearance now and is fine.

At least you found it before it went pop.
