Lowering mk1

Right i know iv asked this question before but iv done a really detailed (half an hour reading through different search threads) search and cant find the answer im after.

Im hopin to lower my car tommorow wether rage_16v does it or i do it. Thing is does anyone know where i can find a guide on doing the torsion bar?? and also the springs?? will i need any specialist tools??

How easy are the front springs to change?

lmao, backs on a torsion bar anyway pal which iv got a rough idea of what to do. Front springs im stuck wit. was reading a guide for the 172 an it said summat bout needing a compressor. Will i need this?? and if not how easy is it to change springs?

just nipping out to soak the torsion bar in wd40.

spring compressor yeah, its because the front springs are under tension inside the shock, so if you just take it off the spring is under load itl fly off at some serious speed....compressors hold it in its current size so it can be safely taken off

txtd back lol, cheers fella. as i said iv jus been out an wd-40d it all an by lookin at a guide it looks like a closed torsion bar cause u cant see where the bars join. Anyway ull know what ur doing. See u in the morning fella.

think me and dale have lowered most of the clios & meganes in cannock to be honest haha!

Just chekin, quick search of ur postcode on google maps and ur in Chestyn Hay. Correct?

Thats definately a good thing, least i know i wnt have to drive the 100miles to get home with something broken lol.
