Looking good. Love the inlets with the engine cover on!

Is it easy to remove the top Inlet? Wouldn't mind spraying mine tomorrow, I'm assuming there will be a gasket between the inlet and block?

Its fairly straight forward mate, theres a gasket between the upper & lower manifolds, and a small egg shape gasket at the top (underneath the renaultsport writing) which is something to do with the oil breather i think?

But yeah IIRC, I:
unbolted coilpack
removed induction kit
removed throttle body
removed all plugs & pipes going onto manifold
undid all the M10(?) bolts on the manifold, 5 at the bottom, 2 at the top
then it lifts off.

I replaced both gaskets, can get both from adam at Renault wolverhampton on here for little over a tenner. But 99% of the time, the gaskets will be fine to re-use

Then refitting is the reverse of the above, with the following Torque settings i found off here:
Upper inlet bolts - 11nm
Coil pack - 9nm
Throttle body - 13nm

Takes about an hour in total if everything goes well

Just got back from my first trackday at Donington. Car performed great until the brakes gave up, my fault for not checking the pads before I went on! Oh well, live & learn I guess. Luckily Tony Hunter sorted me out with some spare pads that saved the day

Update time!

Bought some new hangers and sorted my wonky exhaust finally:

Still needs abit of adjusting & then I will fill them both with Tigerseal

Also gave it a quick wash as it was filthy!

And now on to the fun stuff, wonder what these are for?...

Yep, you guessed it!

Unfortunately it's in need of a respray before I put it on, but I couldn't resist!

Car has had a little overhaul over the past month or so!

First I tackled the brakes. Brembo HC disks & Ferodo DS2500 pads.

Unfortunately I have a sticky caliper but this should be sorted on the weekend hopefully, will be fitting a new one.

Then it was off to Micks for its big service. Cambelt, auxbelt, dephaser, waterpump etc. Got afew snaps of it looking sorry for itself on the lft

While it was there, he stuck my PH1 stick in for me. much better than the PH2 one IMO! I love it :smile:

Still haven't got round to sorting my Vee spoiler out yet unfortunately! Its sitting in the corner of my room mocking me haha! soon :smilingimp:

Went to a rolling road day on Saturday, car made a healthy 157 at the wheels. (roughly 185 at the flywheel iirc?)

Very pleased with it!
