LY 182 Turbo Project

I've had my Clio a little over a year now so I thought it was about time I started a Project thread,
This is the car a day or two after I picked it up, it came on Eibach pro lines, and had a K-tec group N re-map and Yozza exhaust fitted.

1st job apart from a good detail was to fit a splitter to the front bumper

I had the wheels refurbished in dark anthracite and transferred my private plate

following that I bought and fitted some KTR coilovers

I wasn't sure about the way it had been drilled to get the different bolt spacing but it came direct from K-tec like this so must be ok

while it was in bits new top mounts etc were fitted

I am pretty happy with how it stands

next up I got hold of some Recaro Trendlines

I fitted a new plate to the front and had the head lights refreshed as they were looking a little hazy

due to my number plate light stopping working I replaced the unit its self and put an LED bulb in, again it helped freshen the car up as the old one had gone milky

Due to an up coming Turbo conversion I decided to fit new discs and pads Courtesy of G 172
Brembo HC discs

Ferodo DS2500 pads

also not pictured was some Superblue racing brake fluid

As mentioned above the car is off to Andyrg for a turbo soon so will up date the thread as and when

how did you do the headlights lol? Look spot in love this colour

wet and dry paper then used a machine polisher with a fine cutting compound/polish to finish them off and bring the shine back.

I believe if you pay him upfront, he buys the parts and then fits it all for a price. so yes kind of.

that would be a real sleeper haha turbo van

the price depends on the spec you want, which turbo, if you want internals done, if you want the belts done while the engines out etc.
Best bet would be to drop him a PM with any questions

There was defo a LY there with recaros that he said was waitign to be turbo'd after the new year so I assumed it was this one! Yes Andy did my conversion.

As said by someone else, I paid him for parts when I got there because I wanted to see him and what he is about. He then orders the parts which take a few weeks as some of them come from America and then he fits them and then you pay the rest of the balance on collection of the car!

yeah mate just a low pressure boost conversion. just wanted a bit more power without breaking the bank.

Mine made 225 with a couple of things that need sorted! The clutch was slipping on the dyno, its still got the cat in and it needs a new air filter. Once they are all sorted should hopefully be between 230 and 240 which will be plenty to start with!

Is that at the fly? My mates Fiesta ST is 243, and I want bragging rights, so may looking into this.

I think it ranges between 230bhp up to 300ish bhp depending on spec. the high end figures will likely be forged.

I'm hoping for 240-245bhp but I'm not to worried about chasing figures on the rollers
